Lübeck is definitely worth a visit! Situated on the river Trave, only few kilometres from the shores of the Baltic Sea, it is well-known as the centre of the medieval Hanse trading network. The brick-lined architecture tells us old tales of pirates, wealth and adventures on the seven seas. If you have a sweet tooth, do not miss out the beautiful creations of marzipan that Lübeck is famous for, as for being the birthplace of literate Thomas Mann and chancellor Willy Brandt. Its spirit of inventing, daring and never giving up still is very perceptible in the narrow alleyways, but also in the excellent research institutions of the city. Thus, Lübeck is the perfect location to get the necessary inspiration and courage for our common goal - to unite and explore each route towards the cure of ALS until we'll finally shout: "Land ho!"
